THE TRAINING
JW Basketball workouts are intense and rewarding. The primary focus is on mastering fundamentals at all levels - from beginning to advanced. Training skills include:
BALL HANDLING
Learn how to handle the ball at game speed. A strong emphasis is placed on left and right dribbling.
SHOOTING
Develop your shot "off the dribble" through proper shooting mechanics and footwork. Drills are designed to improve shooting percentage in a variety of game speed situations.
ATTACK MOVES
High intensity drills will improve confidence when attacking the basket. Skills include the In and Out, Hesitation, Spin Crossover and more advanced ball handling attack moves.
OFFENSE
Understand how to recognize and attack various defensive schemes. Skills are developed within multiple offensive sets such as 3-2 Motion and 1-3-1 Zone.
DEFENSE
Improve your man-to-man defensive skills with focus on quick footwork the drop step, advance and retreat step, bumping the cutter and working through screens.
PLYOMETRICS
Maximize your athletic potential through customized workouts designed to increase jumping ability, strength, endurance and agility.
